I’ve been busy the last couple of weeks and so haven’t had a chance to update everyone here with news. Finally, finally, I’m finding myself with a bit of downtime, so I thought I’d post some highlights. I’ve been on the road with Diego, doing readings and talks both near and far. These included the Texas Book Festival, San Antonio Edition, where I had the opportunity to reconnect with many of my friends from Macondo, Sandra Cisneros‘ writing collective, readings in Southern California, the LA Times Festival of Books, and at Anderson’s Bookshop in Naperville, Illinois, just outside of Chicago, where the amazing Luis Alberto Urrea and his lovely wife Cindy hosted me for their “Writers Railroad.” It’s been exhausting but fun! There’s more to come, too, so stay tuned. In the meantime, I’ve pasted links to various interviews I’ve done as well as a random collection of images from my adventures. Enjoy!
Here’s an interview I did on Connie Martinson’s show, Connie Martinson Talks Books.
Carolyn Kellog sat down with me at the LA Times Festival of Books for a quick interview here.
Tom Lutz talks about Diego for KCRW here.
I wrote a piece about one of my favorite books, And the Earth Did Not Devour Him, by Tomás Rivera, for NRP’s “You Must Read This.”
